Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Unsaid ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, share, and protect information when you use the Unsaid mobile application and related services (the "Service").
1. Our Privacy Commitment
We believe journaling is deeply personal.
- We do not sell your personal information or journal entries.

- We do not publicly display your entries.
- Your content belongs to you.
2. Information We Collect

- Login and authentication information
- User preferences and consent records
B. Content You Choose to Provide
- Unsaid entries and journal entries
- Chat messages and saved reflections
- Mood check-ins, emotions, notes, and intensity selections
- Goals, guided-journaling responses, and meditation activity
- AI-generated responses, classifications, summaries, prompts, and insights
This content may include sensitive personal or emotional information depending on what you choose to enter.
C. Technical and Usage Data
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- IP address and general location derived from it
- App activity, diagnostics, and feature usage
D. Subscription Information
Apple processes iOS payments. RevenueCat helps verify and manage subscription status and may process account identifiers and purchase information needed for that purpose. We do not receive or store your full credit-card information.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate the Service, authenticate users, save and display user content, provide customer support, maintain security, manage subscriptions, comply with law, and, only after the user gives permission, provide the AI features described below.
4. AI Data Processing and Your Permission
Before Unsaid sends personal content to a third-party AI service, the app displays a separate permission screen. AI processing remains off unless you choose Allow AI Processing.
If you allow AI processing, Unsaid may send the content needed for the feature you request, including journal or Unsaid text, chat messages, mood information, goals, guided-reflection responses, meditation activity, and relevant prior patterns or insights.
This information is sent through Base44, operated by Wix, which may use AI model providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google to generate requested chat replies, classifications, summaries, prompts, coping suggestions, and personalized insights.
We limit the information sent to what is reasonably needed for the requested feature. These providers process the information to provide and secure their services under their applicable data-protection terms. We do not sell this content or use it for advertising.
You may choose Not Now and continue using non-AI features such as ordinary journaling, mood tracking, goals, meditations, and ambient sounds. You may later allow AI processing, or withdraw permission, in Settings. After permission is withdrawn, Unsaid will not send new personal content for AI processing unless you allow it again.
5. Service Providers and Information Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, honor user requests, comply with law, or protect users and the Service. Categories of recipients include:
- Base44/Wix: app hosting, storage, authentication, backend functions, and routing of requested AI features
- OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google: possible AI model processors for AI features, only after user permission
- Apple and RevenueCat: subscription purchase, entitlement, and restore-purchase processing
- Infrastructure, analytics, and security providers: hosting, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and service reliability
- Authorities or other parties: when legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security
We require service providers to use appropriate safeguards and to process information only for the services they provide to us.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted transmission, secure cloud infrastructure, access controls, and authentication safeguards. No digital system can guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for protecting their login credentials.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed to operate the Service. Users may export their data or delete their account from Settings. Following an account-deletion request, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. AI permission can be changed in the app's Settings. For other requests, contact us using the information below.
9. California Privacy Rights
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Unsaid does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Children's Privacy
Unsaid is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was collected, we will delete it.
11. International Processing
Information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We and our providers use appropriate protections as required by applicable law.
12. Not a HIPAA-Covered Entity
Unsaid is not a healthcare provider or covered entity under HIPAA. The Service is a self-reflection tool and is not intended to provide diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, or emergency services.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the "Last updated" date and provide any additional notice required by law. If a change requires new consent, we will request it before applying that change to the affected processing.
